Injection moulding

Success of the Group is based on specialized procedure of injection moulding of the technical and aesthetic parts made of one or more materials for the most diverse branches of industry: electronic, electro and machine industry, industry of white goods and small household appliances, automotive industry, production of electro-medical equipment, sport industry, etc.

….the contemporary challenge for major producers and plastic compounders is “metal replacement”, i.e. replacement of metal parts traditionally produced by pressure casting or by machine processing of metal with high-performance polymers obtained by modification of polymers by adding fillers, such as glass/mineral fibres, carbon fibre, graphite, lubricants, self-extinguishing materials and alike, to obtain materials with exceptional technological properties.

In this area the Think Plastic Group has always been ahead of time cooperating with the best producers of plastics and specialising in injection moulding of the greatest part of the, so called, high-performance technical plastics.

Plastikcam East has at its disposal eight injection moulding presses ranging from 80 to 270 tons equipped with robots of Cartesian (rectangular) and/or anthropomorphic configuration.

All presses are interconnected with the Company network by the production control and supervision system to facilitate better optimization of production planning, and of time and costs of the set-up.

The tools currently used in production do not exceed the weight of 2,000kg, although within the plant it is possible to handle the moulds weighing 6,300kg, what is the payload of the installed crane.

In the design process attention is paid to the staged construction and scalability of installations and equipment. Currently installed resource capacities satisfy three out of the totally planned five development phases of the Company.

Particular attention is devoted to reliability of the entire system, thus redundant equipment is installed at the critical positions.

In line with the environmental standards additional attention is focused on energy efficiency in the part of the cooling system which may work with adiabatic exchanger, chiller or with both systems concurrently, as required.
